Brando was my first Pit Bull (Odnarb is Brando's name backwards). Brando is a CGC and a fabulous obedience dog. He may never compete, however, due to nerve damage after an embolism he suffered in June of 2001. He now uses a cart made by Doggon' Wheels for exercise.
Brando has been on television, been a blood donor (he is the poster dog for an annual blood drive for both the Red Cross and our local pet emergency hospital), and been used as a demo dog in obedience classes that I used to teach. Brando was also part of a presentation given at a correctional facility for young men.
Brando has been a fabulous ambassador for the breed, and continues to show the public that the American Pit Bull Terrier is not the sensational demon it has been made out to be.
After breaking up, Brando stayed with my ex. I miss that dog terribly. |
